[Tutorial] Mini for mirror cover bag

Last week I received a very nice mirror at Little Cavern , my favorite clothes shop. It is really nice, but comes in a small organza bag that may not be holding force of manipulation. So I decided to make myself a nice little pouch to carry it, and as I'm nice I'll show you how you make yours in less than 5 minutes!

This tutorial was made expressly for the mirror Little Cavern (which is about 5.5 cm in diameter) but can be adapted to any small ancillary to another size, and very easily using scrap fabric or coupons. For another object, you adjust the dimensions ;)

Let's go! Please click to enlarge images.

For a mirror bag 5.5 cm in diameter, begin by cutting two rectangles of 9 x 16 cm. Use 2 different fabrics if you want the exterior contrasts with the interior. For my part, I used a drop cloth for outside Japan and a white cotton fabric for the interior.

Ask the place where cons, use pins to hold them in place and make a seam at the top and bottom 2 / 3 mm from the edge about:

Turn them over and have a shot of iron to flatten the seam well. Make a sewn at each end (top and bottom, so) to 2mm from the edge:

The outer fabric is facing you, fold one end over 2.5 cm: this will be the top of the cover. Beware of patterns on the fabric if they have a meaning! Pin the folded part to keep it up:

Fold the bottom of the cover so that she covers the upper 5 mm. You can also use the mirror to adjust the final size of the cover. Pin this part to keep it in place:

Make a side seam of each side to about 7mm from the edge:

Make a zig-zag stitching on the seam and remove all the excess flush with the seam. Or Overcast serger if you have one:

Your "bag 5 minutes to mirror bag" is complete, it is a simple method to stop throwing your scrap fabrics! And if you do not have a machine, it's just as easy to make. You need just a little bit longer :)

And for those who do not have scraps of fabric but want to make pretty little bags, buy coupons. You can find very beautiful with an attractive price at Avenue of Fabrics , the Farandole tissue and Fabrics Addict !

New computer cases and new formats

On the last day of June, 6 new computer covers just added in the shop. But that's not all: three new formats have also been added to the list of sizes: 13 MacBook, MacBook 15 and MacBook 17! Unlike other sizes that are standard - given the incredible number of netbooks and notebooks on the market - made the covers for computers from Apple will be adjusted closer to the dimensions of these devices. Note: These formats are suitable for both simple as MacBook Air MacBook and MacBook Pro.

Bonus spring: the tree donut

In MyTikkashop we both run the shop, David and I, and everyone has more than one hat in his bag (or more than one lap on the head?). For my part, I'm above all of the website (design, development, maintenance) and the creation / production of products that you find in stores. I also (un) happy to handle all the administrative and financial. David meanwhile occupies both the position of sales manager, product marketing director and photographer. To learn more about the distribution of tasks, please consult the chart found on the page " Who are we? "

David, in addition to being my partner, my best collaborator and my husband has another talent and not least, is an excellent cook! Last year, he made me make a sensational discovery in preparing for the first time fritters acacia. It got so popular that since I can not help these wonderful trees nicknamed the "tree cakes". In any case at the time of flowering, because the rest of the time I am totally unable to distinguish an oak from a weeping willow.

It is at this moment we are just in the midst of flowering acacias. Before the flowers as they fall and was well treated in this evening after having gathered some (... climbing on the roof of the car, as the major problem of these trees is that they are large and Flowers are often a bit difficult to reach) so I'll show you the recipe for fritters acacia pictures of David. Please click to enlarge.

Ingredients

Of course, to make fritters acacia should already start picking fresh flowers well:

Fleurs d'acacias

For the rest:

- 3 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 25 cl milk
- 15cl of lager (optional)
- 1 teaspoon oil
- Sugar
- Pinch of salt

Ingrédients

Recipe

Start by mixing salt, flour and eggs in a bowl:

Sel, farine et oeufs You get a thick paste:

Pâte épaisse

First Pour the milk slowly and stir until dough is smooth and no lumps (if you pour too quickly there will be!)

Pâte fluide

Then add the beer, oil and mix:

Pâte fluide et sans grumeaux

Let the dough rest for at least 1:30.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan (wok or deep fryer type) and dip the flowers into the batter before dipping in boiling oil:

Les fleurs trempent dans la pâte

Retirer la fleur de la pâte

Plongez-la dans l'huile

Plongez-en plusieurs

Return them to the fritters are cooked each side:

Retournez les beignets

When finished cooking, place the fritters on paper towels to drain well:

Egouttez les beignets

Sprinkle with icing sugar:

Saupoudrez de sucre glace

... And enjoy! Bon appetit :-D
